Park-Free, Stress-Free Stay

The holidays are suddenly on us and, as the song goes, “it’s the most wonderful time of the year.”  It’s time to start thinking about giving thanks, brotherhood, love and peace.  And it’s also time to think about eating and shopping!  While gratitude, brotherhood and love should be found everywhere, there’s no better place to experience holiday shopping and eating than San Francisco.

It’s San Francisco’s vibrant neighborhoods that make this city so unique and, in those neighborhoods, you’ll find some of the best holiday shopping, eating and drinking. So, let’s make it the most wonderful time of the year!

Every neighborhood has its own vibe, and each offers a different, but equally amazing, mix of shopping and dining. Find your inner hippie on Haight Street in the Haight Ashbury neighborhood. Those groovy hippie clothes and the enduring music of that era can be found in the shops on Haight Street. Chestnut Street in the Marina District, where the Pacific Ocean meets the San Francisco Bay and where day drinking is encouraged, offers a mix of local shops, retail stores with cult followings and an eclectic mix of restaurants.  In Inner Richmond, just north of Golden Gate Park and south of the Presidio, shop and eat like a local in the mom-and-pop shops and restaurants along Clement Street. And for some very local amazing family friendly shopping and dining, between the Mission and Castro districts, spend some time in Noe Valley and stroll 24th Street between Church and Diamond Streets. Between the bakeries and the boutiques (don’t miss Just for Fun) you won’t want to leave. Fillmore Street, in lower Pacific Heights, is another must-stop for everything from thrift shops to trendy boutiques, music history, and great dining. With Japantown on the east, the Fillmore Jazz District on the south and tony Pacific Heights neighborhood up the hill to the north, there are fantastic discoveries in all directions.  And a visit to Chinatown is a must. The treasures you can find in this neighborhood are priceless and yet affordable.

This is only a sampling of the one-of-a-kind experiences and opportunities you’ll find in San Francisco’s neighborhoods. And we, at Hotel VIA, are offering an opportunity for you to have more money to spend on these holiday shopping and dining sprees. In this city, where parking is as expensive as a night in a hotel in most other cities, enjoy complimentary valet parking during this holiday season when you stay with us at Hotel VIA. Yes, you are reading correctly… COMPLIMENTARY VALET PARKING.
