From Orange and Black to Blue and Gold

Borrowing  from Charles Dickens, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.”  We’re at that cross section now with our beloved Giants and Warriors.  So much disappointment yet so much to be excited about.

We’re at that crossroads.  The Warriors Brandin Podziemski personified the transition.  A couple of weeks ago, the Warriors sophomore donned a San Francisco Giants jersey and hit a big home run during batting practice at Oracle Park, thus heralding the transition from baseball season to basketball season.  That was a transitional moment that represents this transitional year.

For the Giants, a disappointing season is filled with hope for next year.  The Giants 2024 season ended with September.  No October baseball.  But changes in leadership in the organization fill us with great hope for a great winning season next year.  We’ll be playing in October, 2025!

The Warriors didn’t make the playoffs this past season, but the new look this year, with  Steph Curry leading a very impressive line-up of veterans and newbies, is already creating playoff buzz.  As they did in France during the summer Olympics, Coach Kerr and Steph, along with an impressive and strong team, are the winning combination this year.  Oh, and it’s only 11 games into the season when Klay returns to the Chase Center with the Mavericks on November 12th.

The transition is happening.  Baseball to Basketball.  Disappointment to thrills.  Losing seasons to winning seasons.  The worst of times to the best of times.  We’re living and loving it right here.

And best of all, it’s all within steps of Hotel VIA.  Giants across the street, the Chase Center a short walk away.  Baseball is over.  Basketball is just beginning.  And don’t forget the exciting concerts scheduled for both venues.  At the intersection of sports, entertainment and technology,  no matter what season, it’s all in our very clean and very safe neighborhood.  Book now for all the excitement.
